HISTORY
Zanzibar is part of the East African coast, Its Independence was
achieved under the Sultan Jamshid bin Abdulla in December 1963.
But the Sultanate was toppled in favour of a people‘s Republic a
month later. On April 26th, 1964 the republic joined Tanganyika
to become “The United Republic of Tanzania”.
